Jennifer BlacklockJennifer Blacklock is a graduate of the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson B.C. Recently Jennifer has established Eastern Tides Acupuncture in Truro, Nova Scotia, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, dietary counseling and qi gong practices.

Jennifer has been studying and practicing since 2002. Her clinical training took place in busy outpatient settings in Nelson, BC, Tai Chung, Taiwan and throughout Yunnan, China.

Jennifer is continually amazed by the effectiveness and potency of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is willing to approach the treatment of all conditions presented to her with the at most compassion and respect.

Adele Boudreau, R.Ac #9233

Adele Boudreau is a TCM practitioner in Louisdale, NS. She took a 3 year program at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC from 1990-2001. In 2002, she became a member of the Saskatchewan Acupuncture Association and in 2003, a member of the Nova Scotia Acupuncture Association. Wu-Cheng ‘Michael’ Chang, R.Ac #9241

We-Cheng `Micheal` ChangMichael’s extensive background in the health field began when he completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Chung Shan Medical College in 1989. He went on to do research in the fields of family physician, rehabilitation and physical therapy and was the Manager of a Rehabilitation Department at the local Taiwan hospital from 1989-2000.

During 2000-2007, Michael opened his own multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Clinic in Taiwan working closely with two family doctors, an orthopedic doctor and an optometrist.

In 2003 he opened a Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic in China with two doctors. Michael then furthered his education by attending the Fujian University of Traditional Medicine where he received a Bachelor of Medicine in the Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006. A native of Taipei, Taiwan, Michael relocated to Halifax with his family in 2007. Michael assists individuals with many ailments including: arthritis, headaches, insomnia, joint problems, sports injuries, sciatic pain, and sprains.

Jacqueline Connaughton, R.M.T., R.Ac #9223

Jacqueline Connaughton has been practicing acupuncture since 1996, after completing her three-year training with J.R. Worsley at the Worsley Institute for Classical Acupuncture in Miami Lakes, Florida. This acupuncture form, Classical Five Element acupuncture, is a holistic approach to healing—working on the level of body, mind and spirit, it treats the underlying cause of disease as well as addressing the symptoms, to promote health and an enhanced sense of well-being. In addition to treating chronic and acute health concerns, she is also trained in acupuncture and acupressure for Facial Rejuvenation.

Jacqueline is also a licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Craniosacral therapy. Louise Corello, BAHons, MBAcC, R.Ac #9238

Louise CorelloLouise Corello qualified as an acupuncturist in 1992 at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Royal Leaminton Spa, England. She has since completed many post graduate studies, predominantly at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, England. These included acupuncture in pregnancy, during cancer treatment, for musculo skeletal problems, acupuncture for teenagers, health and diet, treatment for stress, emotional disorders and many other conditions. More recently she has been studying Japanese abdominal diagnosis with Kiiko Matsumoto in London and is working particularly on hormonal imbalances.

Louise left a busy clinic in Hampshire, England to come and live at St Margaret's Bay early in 2006, where she has a bright, spacious office in Upper Tantallon.

Barry Crofton, R.Ac #9220

Barry Crofton, R.AcBarry graduated with a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, B.C. in 1994. Since 1996 he has been practicing at the Meridian Wellness Center in Wolfville.

Along with his regular practice of TCM Acupuncture, Barry has done extensive post-graduate training in NAET allergy elimination technique and Omega/Vantage system computerized sensitivity testing. He has had success in treating asthma, seasonal allergies, food sensitivities, and environmental allergies of all kinds. He has had success in resolving chronic stiffness and pain in joints and muscles, as well as headaches and migraines using Acupuncture and Neuro Modulation Technique (NMT). Lee-Ann CudmoreLee-Ann Cudmore is a Registered Acupuncturist of Nova Scotia, and an honors graduate with a diploma in Clinical Acupuncture from the three-year program at the International Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Jill ForseJill Forse is a graduate of Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria, British Columbia where she earned a three year diploma in Acupuncture. She is also a graduate of Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she earned a four year

Lisa Gallant, B.A, Dip. TCM, R.Ac #9255

Lisa GallantLisa received a three year diploma of Acupuncture from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, British Columbia. Lisa completed her fourth year of study with high honors at  Paci?c Rim College, from which she received her diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has recently moved home to Nova Scotia and is practicing at Natural Path Wellness Centre in Dartmouth.

Lisa has seen amazing results in treating each person holistically and according to their own constitution. Working as an intern for 2 years in a busy clinic, Lisa successfully treated patients using a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet therapy, tui na massage, cupping therapy, gua sha and electro-stimulation. She is also trained in facial rejuvenation. She is known as being personable, compassionate and thorough, always taking the time to get to know her patients and developing a treatment plan tailored to each speci?c case.

Elizabeth HeffelfingerAfter practicing acupuncture in California for ten years, Elizabeth Heffelfinger is very happy to be back in Halifax where she has opened a Classical Five Element Acupuncture practice.

Elizabeth attended the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine for 3 years and qualified for her California Acupuncture License in 1997. She is also a National Diplomate in Acupuncture and Herbology in the United States.

Jane HoldenJane Holden has a Bachelor of Acupuncture degree from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in England and has been a member of the Nova Scotia Acupuncture Association since 1992. John Huszagh, R.Ac #9221

John HuszaghJohn Huszagh graduated from from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1996. After completing his four year masters in Oriental Medicine, he assisted at a school in Cologne, Germany. In 2000, he studied with Sensei Koei Kuahara, a master of the Toyo Hari, Japanese needle technique. In 2002, he helped bring the Canadian College of Osteopathy to Halifax.

John has studied with indigenous healers from the New Mexico and Peru and brings this wisdom into his practice. He recently completed 5 years of osteopathic training. His clinical practice weaves Osteopathy and Chinese Medicine.

Jitka Krejci, R.AcJitka Krejci graduated in 2009 with a Diploma in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, B.C.

Before receiving residency in Canada, Jitka worked as a mobile home-care acupuncturist in Wisconsin from 2009 to 2011, where her practice mostly comprised of patients who suffered from pain, such as sciatica, headaches, and fibromyalgia. Through her training and work, she has been very successful in helping people overcome their aches and pains.  Jitka has also had success in treating gynaecological, emotional, urinary, and digestive disorders. Jitka uses a holistic approach to health and treats every patient as an individual, making her adept at treating all other variations of illness.  She uses acupuncture, Tui Na massage, electro-stimulation, and low lever laser therapy to help people achieve and maintain better health. 

Jitka is very happy to be living in Nova Scotia.  She has established a clinic, called Evangeline Acupuncture, in the Lower Sackville Wellness Centre.  She feels fortunate to be part of the HRM community and to be providing natural health care in the Sackville area.  Jitka also does house calls on the South Shore.

Jane Marshall, D.TCM, R.Ac #9234

Jane MarshallJane Marshall is a graduate of the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria BC. Jane Marshall holds a three-year diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (D.TCM, D.Ac). As well as practicing Chinese Herbology, Acupuncture, and the other therapies included in TCM, she also administers ear acupuncture for quitting smoking and other addictions. She is certified through
NADA as an Acu-Detox specialist.

Michelle Murray, R.Ac.Michelle graduated with an Honours Diploma in Acupuncture in 2008 after successfully completing a 3 year program in St. John’s Newfoundland. She is also a trained Doula, a holistic childbirth educator and is certified in the use of homeopathy for pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. She is planning to further her education in obstetric acupuncture in Europe during the fall of 2009.

Michelle has a true passion for women’s health, and has used her culmination of skills and training to open The Women’s Holistic Health Centre, the only alternative health clinic in the greater St. John’s area catering exclusively to women and their unique well-being issues.

Karen Ritchie B.S., M.S. Oriental Medicine, Dipl.Ac., R.Ac #9237

Karen Ritchie Karen Ritchie is a graduate of the four year program at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, receiving her Masters of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine in 2005 and is also certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Dipl.Ac.).  Karen received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from Indiana University in 1975.

After immigrating to Canada from the United States, Karen established Omega Health Associates in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1995. She has tested over 5,000 individuals using the Omega AcuBase program and has found this to be an invaluable tool for helping others find out about their health concerns, especially food related issues. Special areas of interest are in: allergies, gastrointestinal, obstetrics & gynecology.
